An essential guide to the art of wedding paper

And believe us, it’s an art worth tending to

We’re here to guide you in the direction of materials you’ll be glad you chose by the time they arrive in your mailbox.

Digital Printing

The Printing Methods

Letterpress Printing

Foil Printing

Also known as flat printing, digital printing is smooth to the touch, as the ink sits on top of the paper. This is well suited for watercolor art, photos, and a cost efficient option for any item with guest personalization.

Well, letterpress is in the name. Our printers create a plate with your design, inked in a specific Pantone color, then pressed into 100% cotton paper on antique machines. This impression which leaves a tactile, debossed finish.

Foil printing uses heated metal plates to press sheets of foil into 100% cotton paper. Metallic golds and matte white are the most common foil type we use, but foil is available in many other metallics, colors and finishes.

Both options are the highest quality possible for your printing type and hold ink well, so it comes down to personal preference. Single ply is 100-120 pounds. Double ply is twice the thickness at 200-240 pounds. If you aren’t sure, you can always order a Curated Sample Box to decide which you like best.

The Paper

Paper is the base of your invitation suite, and a foundation to build on. With it, we’ll help you decide on a creative direction moving forward.

Similar to choosing between white and ivory for a wedding dress, white is bright and ivory is off-white — not yellow. Again, a sample is best if you’re not sure which option you’re leaning toward.

Written by hand with care, for your guests’ eyes only. Many styles are available, but we’ll guide you toward the fonts that perfectly resemble the feel of your wedding.

Guest Addressing

Guest addressing allows you to make a good first impression before someone opens your invitation suite and it comes in two options.

With printed guest addressing, you can carry out the theme of fonts through your invitation and other day-of details to create a cohesive finish.
