I grew up in a small Midwest town, studied graphic design in Arizona, and moved to California after meeting my amazing husband. The west coast has always called to me, and I continued my design career as a senior web designer for a few San Francisco based retailers including Williams-Sonoma and Janie and Jack. After many years in digital design, I realized my true passion for tangible paper goods. Beautiful typography letter pressed on thick, cotton paper makes my heart sing; almost as much as creating one-of-a-kind invitations for life’s biggest moments. Paper by the Bay was born out of my San Francisco apartment, and grew its roots in Napa Valley. I have recently relocated to Scottsdale, where I live with my husband, and our 7-year old daughter, our 5-year old twin daughters and our sweet rescue dog Sparky.

The big talk of the wedding was the custom golf ball escort display that she helped us curate. The display included golf balls with our custom monogram, custom lettering for the display sign and custom floral panels that tied back to the floral print used on our invitation suite, it was a huge hit with our guests. I loved that the process was very collaborative and that Kelly was happy to make adjustments as needed and as our vision changed. After our brainstorming session, she would then send us mocked-up options. We could choose between these options and combine/tweak/add as we liked. This allowed us to incorporate our ideas but also to be presented with other unique ideas that Kelly recommended. Kelly also sent us different examples of invites and types of paper so that we could feel and see the different options. I would highly recommend Paper by the Bay!
