A Martis Camp Wedding Weekend at Lake Tahoe

Kelsey and Andrew’s wedding weekend at Martis Camp was designed to feel like more than a single event. Set against the Tahoe mountains, the celebration unfolded across several days, welcoming guests into a thoughtful and highly personal experience from the moment they arrived.

Guests spent the weekend settling into Tahoe with golf, pickleball, and time at Martis Camp before gathering for an Italian-inspired rehearsal dinner overlooking the lake. The celebrations continued with a private concert by one of the couple’s favorite artists — a nod to one of the first concerts they attended together.

What made the weekend especially personal were the symbolic details woven throughout the celebration. From the very first conversation, Kelsey and her mom, Laura, shared the story of the “Mulligan Bear” — a bear known for breaking into their Truckee home, famously captured on their kitchen island security camera.

The bears quickly became an integral part of the wedding weekend design. For this Tahoe wedding weekend, Kelsey’s Oscar de la Renta gown — with its intricate floral cutouts — became the creative foundation for the entire paper suite. We designed a custom floral pocket invitation that directly echoed the detailing of her dress, bringing the couture element into the stationery in a way that felt intentional and cohesive. It became one of the defining details of the weekend and carried through the paper design across multiple events.

The wedding day ceremony overlooked the Tahoe mountains, with a floral-lined aisle leading to a garden-inspired altar. Following the ceremony, guests transitioned into a custom glass tent for the reception, where layered florals, candlelight, and thoughtful details carried the celebration late into the evening. Every part of the weekend felt connected — personal without feeling themed, elevated without feeling overdone.
